The Cursed Sky - Teaser
Nights rarely were cloudless in the northwestern part of the city at the end of summer. However, in the last weeks of August strong northern winds began to blow during the evenings. At the end of day they usually dispersed heavy pre-storm clouds and opened the starry sky to eyes of curious citizens. One day two creatures also decided to admire the magnificent view of a starry sky, so they picked up a place for a rest under the shade of a tree which stood alone on a small hill in a local park.
"Do you still remember where I came from?"
The sudden question of one of them cut through the silence of the night like a sharp disc, whistling throug

A scout's daily life - Part 1
In place of a foreword: There are people who change everything.
There are people who change your life just as you meet them. No matter whether they are humans of flesh and blood living in the same reality as you, characters from books or films, contactors from lucid dreams or entities from the universe-in-your-head. The thing is that they are alive. They are wonderfully alive and unique.
There are people who upon meeting make you suddenly recall every bit of your experience. Remember all the crucial points of your life. All your friends and acquaintances who have left traces in your heart. All the books you’ve ever read, all the films

I’ve been writing this story and living it at the same time, though now I would choose different words for it and the attitude towards certain things has changed, too. However, that’s my honestly described impression of David at that very moment when I had not known him in person; that’s what I was thinking and feeling when I did not know what would happen next. It’s also part of the story and I will not rewrite it. The more obvious a simple old truth becomes: what you think of a person and what he or she really is may be quite different things. And communication between you is what really lets you get t

So, in the end I couldn’t resist the temptation...
I felt the wave coming and that it would be stupid to give up now, so I spent two hours of my time on a drive to the seashore and back; these two hours and half an hour by the sea did it – I lived this episode in one gulp.
For the first time I dived in as an “unregistered” member of the crew and distracted David so that he didn’t get on the spaceship and was left on the planet. This certainly made him discontent to quite an extent. We managed to say a couple of words to each other but still after that I was given as food to local fauna –

J’Khati-
The air was tense with anticipation. I had decided to come to the humans before Hiveworld, as much as it strained at my heart. I really need their help to figure out what this sickness was.
The disease didn’t seem immensely contagious. After leaving the Hive, and Elisis’ return, only one more Xenomorph had died, and all has been quiet ever since. It puzzled me, this issue. Did it only move in short bursts, and then die out? But that led to the question, what had even caused it in the first place?
I pondered this as we approached the looming walls of the human village. My Hiv

U’Tara-
The battle inside continued. I couldn’t figure out how to break free of Her grasp. To be my own again. It was harder than any combatant that I had ever fought. Because this wasn’t physical. I couldn’t slice Her with my claws, stab Her with my tail, or spray Her with my acid. No, the only weapon I had was my will, and that was killed a long time ago. She had taken everything from me. My family, my friends. My personality. And I wanted it back. So very badly.
I just didn’t know how.
I looked over at the cute brownish Xenomorph I was traveling with. He prowled ahead of me, his small tail swishing as he w

The cliff’s edge sped towards me faster than I expected. I was terrified, but I made myself move forwards. I didn’t know why the Empress hadn’t stopped me yet, but with a pounding heart I pressed forward. This was for the Hive.
I was almost there, and I was just about to jump into the forbidding, roaring waters below when an invisible force stopped me where I was. I screeched as my claws slammed painfully into the soil, putting a halt to my progress. Rocks tumbled down the cliffs that were caused by my halting. I gulped. Maybe I didn’t really want to kill myself after all.
I backed away, my stomach churning.

It had been a few days since U’Tara had that odd fit of anger. She had run away into the bushes, much to Elisis’s outrage, but she soon came back, seething and drooling. I tried to talk to her, but she hissed and shut me out. I hadn’t known her for very long, but I already knew she would be a tough knot to unravel.
We stayed at the decimated human village those few days, as I wanted to make sure the evil Xenomorphs who did this didn’t come back. I was so happy to see Shaniya again, but there was a hint of sadness to it too.
‘This is Josh,’ she thought to me, gesturing to an ebony toned human male who

My eyes shuddered open. I was nearly blinded by a blazing bright light. I squinted, trying to adjust to the sudden change. When the fuzz at last ceased from my eyes, I took a look at my surroundings.
I was in a brilliant white lab, the walls so bright they looked as if they could burn you. Fluorescent lights beamed down on me, illuminating the stark whiteness of the room even more.
Panic shot through me as I took it all in. Labs meant humans. Humans meant captivity. I tried to sit up, but cried out as pain sparked down my spine and exploded in my abdominal region.
Memory flooded my min
